Our plans for a Highland Fling in March 2020 were unfortunately scuppered by the lockdown restrictions and it looks like we are going the same way as we move into 2021. We are ever-hopeful and, with some of the best snow conditions that Scotland has seen in a while, we hope that the season may be a little longer than usual and we will get to enjoy the conditions as restrictions lift.

Hannah Durden (Nugent 01) and I did manage a New Year’s Day hike to the bothy at Loch Con (near Blair Atholl) to see in the New Year with stilton soup and sourdough. If we miss the winter season this year then we will look to theHighlands or Scottish west coast for an autumnal adventure instead. Stay safe.
