In 2019, the Old Stoic Tennis Team competed in the annual D’Abernon Cup, drawn in a group with: Oundle, Harrow, Westminster and Bradfield. Harry Rees (Temple 14) and Toby Cole (Grenville 14) won their matches against Oundle and Harrow but unfortunately came up short against very strong sides from both Westminster and Bradfield. Following on from this, the Old Stoic Team came up against the Stowe 1st VI at Speech Day. The Old Stoics, consisting of Harry Rees (Temple 14) and William de Boinville (Bruce 14); Freddie Pope (Chatham 16) and Nick Gorey (Temple 89) and Hugo Kinahan (Grafton 14) and Kit Dixon-Smith (Chatham 13) produced a commanding display to beat the School 1st VI 8 sets to 1.
