Our first full year as a club has seen our numbers grow from the six who initially set it up to the thirty who are now members.
We have had a number of successes this year in that we have had a number of fishing trips together, held a couple of great fun dinners and found our spiritual home in London in the form of the Flyfishers’ Club, whose Secretary is also an Old Stoic! 2018 promises to be another great year for the Club as we are currently planning our first overseas trip to Lough Corrib in Ireland during the mayfly season.
The aim of the Club is to develop friendships amongst Old Stoics through the pursuit of fly fishing and, given the many happy hours we have spent fishing together and the camaraderie we have enjoyed at our social events, we are well and truly on the way to achieving this!
