For the 10th time, some Old Chandosians got together to celebrate their ongoing friendship, created 64 years ago when they first met at Stowe, back in the days of ration books, not much heating, Plug Street cook ups and defaulters.
This year’s event, a picnic, was held on a balmy summer’s day at the Queen’s Temple, with memories of Military Band Practices and Bill McElwee’s productions of Shakespeare much enjoyed.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the OS Society we were able to share a fabulous location as well as admire the wonderful work undertaken by the National Trust.
