On Saturday 4 September, the first Old Stoic game of the year took place. An experienced OS team comprising girls from Nugent, Stanhope, Lyttelton and Queen’s came to the South Front to play against the current 1st X. The team contained no fewer than three current and recent internationals, alongside three girls from the cohort who left in 2021.
We now have a group of over 50 Old Stoics who want to get involved in lacrosse matches and this number is growing. On 5 March 2022, the Old Stoic team will return to play the 1st X and an Old Wycombe Abbey side. We have also been in touch with the Downe House alumni to organise a game with them. There are two international selections in the team. I, Liv Thomas (Nugent 18) have been selected for the Senior England World Cup Training Squad, working towards the World Championships in USA in June/July 2022 and India Chadwick (Nugent 16) has been selected for the U23 England Team.
