The OS Tennis team got the year off to a positive start as Harry Rees (Temple 14) and Arthur Hobhouse (Temple 12) progressed through the D’Abernon Cup qualifying round for the first time in a group including Bromsgrove, Rugby, Shrewsbury, Westminster and St Pauls. In the quarter finals that followed, Stowe hosted past champions, Reeds, with the team comprising Harry Rees, Toby Cole (Grenville 14), Kit Dixon-Smith (Chatham 13) and Freddie Pope (Chatham 16). Despite a highly entertaining afternoon of tennis for all, Stowe were outclassed by a strong Reeds line-up – roll on next year!
At Speech Day, it was a similar story as the School 1st VI delivered an exquisite performance to narrowly defeat the OS team. A great year overall. If anyone is interested in OS tennis, please get in touch with Harry or Toby via the OS Office.
