Richard is still playing cricket and maintaining his interest in reggae music. He is continuing to work as a shipping and insurance barrister and arbitrator but spends increasing amounts of time working pro bono on climate change law and international, environmental and human rights issues. He is Chair of Action4Justice and, to raise funds this year, he made a virtual ascent of Mount Everest by climbing up and down a 15-foot model in his garden 2,000 times. He plans to take a three-month sabbatical in early 2023 in Colombia to work as a volunteer on environmental justice issues, returning in time to make the most of the Centenary celebrations. He would be delighted to visit any Old Stoics resident in Colombia during his trip.
