George’s daughter lives in Dominica and acts as the Honorary British Consul. Hurricane Maria struck the Caribbean in September 2017 and has been declared the worst natural disaster in the history of Dominica. The picture shows the devastation. As they have done for the last 19 years, George and his wife Angela are sending pallets of donated goods – this year 7 tonnes! The port is struggling to cope with what has already arrived for the huge humanitarian effort in rehousing and rebuilding.
