In June 2021, Charles Forbes Adam received an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for Services to Charitable Fundraising. Charles chaired the appeal for the restoration of Selby Abbey for five years, followed by 12 years starting (and then chairing) group fundraising for the bridges and a rehab centre in Hull for ex-offenders with addiction problems which is run by the Forward Trust.
