I am still working for the Probation Service with men released from prison, having a month in a school in Tasmania as Writer-in-Residence, and writing the biography of Sam Thomas, who won the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2008 on the mighty Denman, so, ‘retirement’ is not dull!”
