In my free time I spent a fair few 2016 weekends walking: from Birmingham to Bridport and from Oxford to South East London – not to mention in Romania and Greece. I also undertook a talk for Grindleton Historical Society on ‘Brierley & Grindletonianism: a local experiment in radical Puritanism – or something else?’ based on the research for my novel, A Certain Measure of Perfection.”
