“It‘s already becoming increasingly clear that there‘s no such thing as a ‘retired Anglican priest’, something that had been emphasised long ago, but which I never really acknowledged. Having left the chaplaincy at King‘s College, Cambridge and working as a locum priest in London, there are still opportunities to head to unknown places and these opportunities are gratefully grasped. Samarkand was an eye-opener. Working for the Anglican church in Venice for six weeks was a joy. I’m based in Clapham, involved with LGBTQI+ issues and linked to the diocese of Southwark, all is well.”
