Oswald Hoskyns (Chatham 72)

“Having served my 30 years and a day with the Hampshire Constabulary, I squeezed in an inspector‘s pension and have enjoyed running a lifestyle business that occasionally broke even. Woodland management, selling logs and hedge laying keep me outdoors and fit. I would have been an unhappy, lonely bachelor had I not married my lodger and together raised two boys. Now in the Isle of Wight,
I split my time singing in a couple of choirs and mending fences, gates and any other damage caused by our horses. I don‘t ride any more but keep a manicured square muck heap.”
