Andrew Murray Vinen died peacefully, in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, on Friday 20 December 2019, Andrew, Challenger Lodge, Challenger Estate, Lairg, beloved brother of James and the late Giles, dear brother-in-law of Hazel and Marie-Eugenie, dearly loved uncle of Jonathan, David, Verity, Naomi, Peony and Inigo and loved by all the extended family and friends. The funeral service was held in Lairg Parish Church on Friday 10 January.
After Stowe, Andrew went on to receive a 1st from Cambridge and began teaching at Christ’s Hospital. In 1958, Andrew returned to Stowe to teach Maths and was Housemaster of Temple from 1968-1980. Andrew’s last posting, before retiring was at Maidwell Hall Prep School.
