Kevin writes, “Portugal suits me. It is my second full year in the calm and beautiful Eastern Algarve, near Tavira. In the retirement stage of my life, Portugal’s Algarve suits me well for living out lockdowns, escaping the manic world, focussing on rental houses and being by the sea and in the countryside. Life is simple, colourful and, for the majority of time, outside due to the generally superb weather. Nearby Faro airport has many international flights but I rarely travel now. My former careers in law in the USA for 30 years, photography and my ultimate hospitality career in France seem a lifetime away. Well, in fact, they are!”
