Jolyon is studying Zen Buddhism under Daizan Roshi, Vice-Abbott of Gyokoryuji Temple in Japan. He has received the Bodhisattva precepts in the Zen lineage of Gyokoryuji and has been given the dharma name Daigen, which means ‘Great Depths’. He is also studying Congolese rumba and soukous guitar with Otis Lumumba Tabasenge.
