Anthony Negus (Bruce 64)

“In 2016, after having conducted Wagner‘s cycle, Der Ring das Nibelung, Tristan und Isolde and Tannhäuser for Longborough Festival Opera, I received the Sir Reginald Goodall Memorial Award from the Wagner Society, London for services to the works of Richard Wagner. Since then I have been building towards the new Longborough Ring Cycle, which will culminate in June 2024.

In 2018 I was invited to conduct Tristan und Isolde for Melbourne Opera, for which I received the coveted Green Room Award. My association with Melbourne Opera has continued each year with Der Fliegende Holländer, Fidelio, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and now the complete Ring Cycle in Bendigo.”
