Despite the current challenges, Andrew continues to expand his family wine business with the addition of a new vineyard in Irancy, Northern Burgundy, producing a Pinot Noir. After challenges from the weather, the first production in 2017 and 2018 is now available. The vineyards in Chablis go from strength-to-strength with a delightful write up from Jancis Robinson on her Purple Pages (see Famille Clarke Chablis). Andrew retired from his regular work in April this year to focus on international arbitration work, his wine business and golf (Beaverbrook GC where Ian Todd is the Chairman), Andrew is otherwise, happily, a man of leisure.
