Alex writes, “Last year I moved down to South Devon to take over the reins of the Thurlestone Hotel and Spa, near Salcombe. This traditional, family friendly hotel has been in my wife’s family for 122 years and is one of the oldest family run hotels in the country. We are the fifth generation running the hotel. Our nine year old twins Tilly and Freddie have enjoyed the move down to Devon and had the best summer this year spending much of the holidays on the beach!
