William writes to tell us, “I returned from five months working in Antarctica for the British Antarctic Survey in March last year. I was stationed on Halley VI; the most southern British station there is. The main operation there is climate change research and data collection. As the station is positioned on a floating ice shelf, it naturally lends itself to being a logistical nightmare. I was involved in machinery operations. Since my return I have started WJW Engineering offering on-site welding and fabrication for the construction industry, and have also set up in partnership with Renutrack, a road and track building/reclamation firm that works for estates, farms and forestry.” www.wjwengineering.com and www.renutrack.co.uk
