“Last year brought to a close my chapter of working for The Duke of Edinburgh. I was very fortunate to have worked for His Royal Highness for 20 years in his office at Buckingham Palace up until his death. I take away some incredible memories and life-long friends. He was a truly remarkable man and a wonderful boss. I attended both his Thanksgiving Service in March at Westminster Abbey and, more recently, the late Queen‘s Committal Service at St. George‘s Chapel at Windsor Castle. I was given the honour of a private audience with Queen Elizabeth II in March, during which she presented me with my LVO (Lieutenant of the Victorian Honour), which I received in the 2021 Demise Honours List. Now that my work at the palace has come to an end, I am studying a three-year course in Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in King‘s Cross. It is a challenge to be taking exams and writing assignments again, but I am enjoying it very much.”
