Dan leads Communications and Strategic Events for the United Nations Global Compact, the UN Secretary-General’s initiative to engage the private sector in sustainable business. At COP26 in November 2021, the UN Global Compact announced that 1,045 companies – representing more than $23 trillion in market capitalisation (more than the GDP of the United States) – had set 1.5°C-aligned science-based targets as part of its campaign to rapidly scale corporate climate ambition. The companies span 53 sectors in 60 countries and have more than 32 million employees.
